Source of the “Acequia Real del Júcar”

(Naixement de la Séquia Reial del Xúquer)

Considered one of the most brilliant engineering works of the 18th century, as well as being one of the oldest irrigation institutions in Spain and a sign of cultural identity of the Valencian Community, the Acequia Real del Júcar has its source in the Assut d’Antella.

The Assut d’Antella (Weir of Antella) is an essential part of the hydraulic infrastructure of the Acequia Real del Júcar, since it works as a dam that diverts part of its water from the river to the ditch.

Camilo’s picnic area

This picnic area was built around 1950, when Camilo Gómez Mateu and Nelo Pardo Pascual, owners of two olive groves in the Sotos ravine (Barranc de Sotos), decided to build a picnic area. Their purpose was to be able to enjoy the mountains with their families.

“La Manyana” ravine

At the La Gola spot, in the Pi Vero departure and on the border of the Antella term with that of Alzira, we find the “La Manyana” ravine (Barranc de La Manyana). This natural setting has the presence of rich and varied fauna and flora, endowing the area with high ecological value.

The Mulato Viewpoint (Mirador del Mulato) is on the climb to Mulato, where we will find an indicative panel, a railing and a simple bench.

“Els Tres Mollons” Viewpoint

(Mirador dels Tres Mollons)

This viewpoint, called Els Tres Mollons Viewpoint (Mirador dels Tres Mollons), is located near Els Tres Mollons. It consists of an indicative panel and a picnic table. A perfect place to enjoy a good sandwich with wonderful views.
